Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Meet Rufus, an AI-powered operations dashboard for Shopify merchants, provided by TRS Enterprises B.V. (“Meet Rufus”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a private limited company registered in the Netherlands. By signing up or using the service you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Meet Rufus provides an operations dashboard and AI agents that help Shopify merchants manage orders, products, email, advertising, and marketing. Each subscriber receives a dedicated virtual server for their data and AI workloads. Features include, but are not limited to:
- Shopify store connection, order + product sync.
- AI-drafted email replies (Eva), ad campaign analysis (Mark), content generation (Sarah), and related agents.
- Multi-channel analytics across Meta, TikTok, and Google ads.
- Task automation via a Kanban board with approval-gated AI actions.
2. Eligibility
To use Meet Rufus you must be at least 18 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into a contract, and be using the service for a business purpose (B2B).
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us at info@meetrufus.co immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Subscription and billing
Meet Rufus is a subscription service, billed monthly in advance via Stripe. The current plan includes:
- Rufus Pro: €119 per month, one Shopify store included.
- Extra Store add-on: €30 per month per additional Shopify store.
- Rufus Credits: one-time packs (5k, 15k, 50k, 150k credits) consumed by AI agents for model inference.
Changes you make mid-cycle (adding a store, removing a store) are invoiced immediately on a pro-rata basis. Your next monthly invoice then reflects the new quantities at the full price.
If payment fails, Stripe will automatically retry according to its
smart-retries schedule. After all retries fail, your subscription
will enter a past_due state and the dashboard will
become read-only until payment is restored.
5. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time from the subscription settings in your dashboard or via the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period - we do not pro-rate refunds for the remainder of the month.
Your data on your dedicated server is retained for 30 days after cancellation so you can re-subscribe without losing it. After 30 days the data and the server are destroyed.
Rufus Credits are non-refundable once purchased, but they do not expire.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or probe the service for vulnerabilities outside a responsible-disclosure context.
- Use the service to send spam, run phishing campaigns, or send content that violates applicable law.
- Share your account with third parties outside your organisation.
- Use the service to process data you have no right to process.
- Circumvent rate limits or usage gates in the software.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.
7. Connected third-party services
When you connect Shopify, Gmail, Outlook, Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, or any other third-party platform to Meet Rufus, you remain subject to those platforms' own terms of service. Meet Rufus is not responsible for downtime, API changes, or policy changes on those platforms that affect what the service can do for you.
8. AI output
Meet Rufus uses AI models from Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (GPT), and Google (Gemini) to generate drafts, summaries, and suggestions. AI output is a draft — you are responsible for reviewing and approving actions before they affect your customers, store, or ad accounts. We do not guarantee AI output is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.
Actions that change customer-facing state (sending an email, fulfilling an order, editing a product) are gated by explicit approval in the Kanban board by default. You can adjust this gating per-agent in settings.
9. Your data, your property
You own your data. We receive a limited license to store, process, and transmit it solely to deliver the service. We will not sell your data, use it to train AI models, or share it with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Credits and AI inference
AI agent runs consume Rufus Credits from your account balance. Credit prices reflect approximate Anthropic API costs plus a margin. If a model or pricing change materially increases our costs, we reserve the right to adjust credit-per-action ratios with at least 30 days' notice via email.
11. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, release new features, or change existing ones without notice. Significant feature removals will be communicated at least 30 days in advance.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Meet Rufus is not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Lost profits, lost revenue, lost customers, or lost opportunity.
- Damages caused by downtime, data loss, or AI errors.
- Damages caused by third-party services (Shopify, Google, Meta, etc.) connected to your account.
Our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you paid us during that period.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or anything else that cannot be excluded by Dutch law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Meet Rufus against third-party claims arising from your use of the service in breach of these Terms or applicable law, including but not limited to claims arising from emails you send, ads you run, or products you sell through the platform.
14. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay for two consecutive billing cycles, or if required by law.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be submitted to the competent Dutch court with jurisdiction over the place where Meet Rufus is established.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
